Westhampton Beach
The complexity of this project was magnified by it's location near a wetland and the property having a very high water table. The gunite pool required heavy excavation and water extraction in order to construct a sufficient support structure for the steel framework of the gunite pool. Seven concrete grade beams each containing six 30' pilings were planted into the ground which would serve as the foundation for the gunite pool. The excavation and foundation was designed and executed entirely by Jason's Pools. The high water table also posed significant challenges to the construction of the driveway. The paver driveway was built 3 feet above the water table so in order to prevent flooding a 27,000 gallon drainage field was installed with 3 tiers of drainage material consisting of a 2 foot layer of over-sized recycled crushed aggregate (RCA), 1 foot layer of ¾" crushed bluestone, and 2 inches of â…œ" crushed bluestone. The 1200 sq ft. cobblestone edged driveway is complete with cobblestone aprons in a subway pattern and topped with crushed bluestone. The 1000 sq ft. cottage driveway is topped with â…œ crushed white marble. The base of the tennis pergola, walkways, and treads of stairs are done in ¾" bluestone porcelain.
This was a new construction project and had many moving parts. We have our own masonry division which allows us flexibility when it comes to scheduling so we were able to work seamlessly with the project manager, who was complimentary in our timeliness and cleanliness of our work.
Gunite Pool
20' x 50' Gunite pool has rectangular corner steps, with side bench attached. An NPT French gray quartzscape interior finish blends nicely with the bluestone coping.

Water Feature

The waterfall feature is a custom 6 foot sheer descent with vertical porcelain tiles to compliment the porcelain coping. The client requested this waterfall be built with the fish tiling that she saved from her previous home which came from the pool that she grew up swimming in.

Pentair automation controls the waterfall and other features such as the LED lights, temperature, and circulation pumps.

The 15' x 15' base of the pergola is desinged in a random sized pattern with ¾ inch bluestone porcelain.
The columns supporting the pergola are dug 4 feet into the ground.

Walkways & Retaining Walls
Driveway to backyward walkway is done with 2'x4' bluestone porcelain which leads up to a concrete poured retaining wall finished in a light gray stucco. The
treads and capping stones are done in the same ¾" porcelain bluestone with a 2" mitered edge.
Backyard walkway that connects the back porch to the pool is a
4 foot wide walkway done in same bluestone porcelain.

Back driveway retaining wall is also concrete poured and finished with a light gray stucco.
Driveways
The 1200 sq ft. cobblestone edged driveway is topped with ⅜" crushed bluestone. Both entrances have a cobblestone apron that rests on a 8" concrete base to prevent any settling that may result from heavy duty vehicles or delivery trucks.
The 1000 sq ft. cottage driveway is edged in cobblestone and topped with ⅜" crushed white marble. A cobblestone apron greets your guests.
Each cobblestone is individually set by our highly skilled masons at the correct pitch (3" minimum). A
Driveway apron is ideal way to add curbside appeal to the home.
Paver Driveway
The parking lot consists of 3" x 9" Cambridge onyx/natural permeable pavers. The paver driveway was built 3 feet above the water table so in order to prevent flooding a 27,000 gallon drainage field was installed with 3 tiers of drainage material consisting of a 2 foot layer of over- sized recycled crushed aggregate (RCA), 1 foot layer of ¾" inch crushed bluestone, and 2 inches of â…œ" crushed bluestone.
